About Mariesa
I grew up in San Francisco, lived in Southern California for a decade, and eventually settled in Napa, California where I live with my husband and two children. My years of working in hospitality fueled my passion for service, teamwork, and leadership. Motherhood and other life experiences have enabled me to use these skills to make a meaningful impact in the lives of my friends, family, and clients.
What is a life coach?
A life coach is a professional who helps individuals identify and achieve personal and professional goals by providing guidance, encouragement, and accountability. Unlike therapists, who often focus on diagnosing and treating mental health issues and exploring past experiences, life coaches concentrate on the present and future, empowering clients to develop strategies for reaching their aspirations. Life coaching is more action-oriented, with an emphasis on setting and attaining specific outcomes, whereas therapy may involve deeper introspection and emotional healing. Unlike consultants or mentors who might offer direct advice based on their expertise, life coaches facilitate a process that encourages clients to find their own solutions and grow through self-discovery and personal empowerment.
